Steel channel

Steel channel - is a type of rolled metal used in construction and mechanical engineering. It is a profile with a U-shaped section, which gives it high rigidity and strength. The production of steel channel includes several key stages:

Material Selection: Cold-rolled or hot-rolled sheet steel is used. These types of steel differ in their production processes. Cold rolled steel passes through rolls at room temperature, resulting in higher strength and better surface finish. Hot-rolled steel, in turn, is processed at high temperatures, which makes it more ductile and resistant to deformation.

Steel mark: The specified steel grades, such as 0.8ps, 2kp, 3kp, DX51(52)D, S235JR, S320GD, S350GD, differ in their properties, such as strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. These characteristics are determined by the chemical composition of the steel and its processing processes.

Zinc Coating: Zinc coating (from 140 to 275 g/m2) is used to protect steel from corrosion. The thickness of the coating may vary depending on the durability requirements and operating conditions of the profile.

Production Method: Profiles are produced by continuous profiling on roll forming mills. This process involves passing a sheet of steel through a series of rolls that gradually shape it into the desired channel.

Application: Due to its shape and characteristics, steel channel is widely used in construction to create building frames, bridges, and also as supporting structures in mechanical engineering and other fields.
